Gerry's picture

Gerald "Gerry" Pohl CPA, CGA, El Jefe, Tax Sensei

Gerry was born in Southeast Saskatchewan and was raised on a farm just outside of Weyburn.  He obtained his CGA Designation in July of 2009 and his CPA designation on amalgamation in November of 2014.  Gerry started working in public practice in 1999 as a technician, became a manager in 2004 when he moved to Meadow Lake, and a partner in 2010.  He was the partner in charge of Meadow Lake and Battleford until 2019 when he purchased these offices from Cogent CPA LLP.

In his spare time, Gerry likes to travel, read, play vintage video games and go on adventures with his spouse Michelle and their fur baby Mack.

His preferred areas of practice are tax, agriculture and corporate reorganizations.

Michelle

Michelle Rule, Administrative Assistant and Bookkeeper

Michelle joined the Analytic team in 2018 as a receptionist/bookkeeper/co-owner after working 17 years in the Uranium industry.  Her background is in the safety field and contractor management.  She has a Project Management Certificate from Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia and a Bookkeeper Certificate from Saskatchewan Polytechnic.  Currently, she is working on her Payroll Compliance Practitioner designation through the Canadian Payroll Association.

When Michelle is not at work, you can find her researching her next global adventure, (did someone say Ecuador???) or walking the Tax Season Emotional Support Dog, Mack in the park.  Sometimes her partner Gerry aka El Jefe joins them.

Tanya Pohl, Accounting Technician, Tax Ninja

Tanya was born and raised on a farm near Radville, Saskatchewan.  She moved to Weyburn, where she met and married her husband and had two children.  She joined our team in August, 2022 after 20 years of experience doing bookkeeping and tax preparation with Cogent Business Consulting and its successors.  She is looking forward to working in more challenging areas, and is currently enrolled in the Accounting Diploma program through ICS Canada.

In her spare time, Tanya likes to organize many events and clubs, most recently Grad 2021 and the afterparty for the Weyburn Comprehensive School, and acting as Treasurer and Staff Supervisor for the Weyburn & District Canoe & Kayak Club.  She also likes to spend time with friends and family, reading, spending time outside with her animals, and relaxing on the deck.

Sandra

Sandra Radtke, Bookkeeper, Tax Ninja

Sandra was born and raised in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, where she obtained diplomas in Public Administration and Accounting.  She moved to Meadow Lake with her two children in August of 2019 and joined our team in October of 2019.  She has worked as an accounting technician and tax preparer for over 10 years.

She has served as Secretary of the Moose Jaw Chapter of the Saskatchewan Home Based Business Association, Treasurer of the New Hope Housing Board of Directors, and is currently serving as Treasurer of the Special Olympics Meadow Lake Board of Directors.  In her spare time, she likes to get kitty cuddles volunteering at the Meadow Lake and District Humane Society, doing cross-stitch, diamond art and spending time with her children.

Ashla Belleperche, Bookkeeper

Ashla was born and raised in Battleford, Saskatchewan.  She began working with our team in July of 2022, coming to us with over 10 years of office and bookkeeping experience. She is working towards becoming a Tax Ninja and is excited to work with Agristability and farm clients.

In her spare time, you can find her either travelling or cruising the grids and sightseeing with her spouse and child.  She also enjoys taking her dog to the park, going to the lake or hanging out with family and friends.

Hana

Hana Fisher, Administrative Assistant

Hana started working with the Analytic team as the Administrative Assistant in July of 2021 with three years of experience as an Administrator. She was born and raised in the village of Quill Lake, Saskatchewan, and attended college in Humboldt, Saskatchewan where she completed her Office Administration certificate in 2018. Her future goals include advancing into Bookkeeping, and going back to school for Business in Accounting.

Hana’s free time consists of walking her dog, Chevy, going on road trips, and working in the shop.

Mack

Mack, Tax Season Emotional Support

While he is the youngest member of the team (by far), he is no less important than any other member.  Mack is a golden doodle that loves to comfort his hoomans and guard the pack from outside issues.  His interests include swimming, running, fetching, and chewing on sticks.  Outside of tax season, he can be found napping on the couch and barking at his humans to go out visiting.  He also enjoys barking at golfers and skiers.
